Summary:Join a fast-growing portfolio of consumer digital media properties that total 30M users per month. We are looking for a user-centric, data-driven, and collaborative User Researcher to join our growing Product and Design team. Your mission will be to help LoveToKnow develop innovative new products and services, as well as improve existing ones. At its core, it’s about deeply understanding the needs and behaviors of our users, and generating actionable insights to drive product, design, and marketing strategy. This person will be based remotely, reports to the Chief Revenue Officer & Head of Product Strategy, and will start on a full-time contract.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Conduct qualitative research to intimately understand the needs, motivations, and personas of our users. Combine with quantitative results to develop a fuller picture.Execute wide variety of research at multiple stages of the product development process and user experience lifecycle.Design research studies from beginning to end: identifying topics, recruiting participants, and conducting sessions; then interpreting, synthesizing, and presenting study results.Use methods including: in-depth interviews, ethnographic observation, focus groups, surveys, card sorts, log analysis, usability studies, and heuristic evaluations.Augment with market, brand, and competitor research.Package actionable insights into tools and assets for the product managers and designers to leverage (i.e. personas, design principles, UX scenarios, etc).Evangelize and inspire the power of empathy in building a customer-centric culture.What you will need to be successful:4+ years doing User Research full-time at a digital consumer company.Portfolio of case studies that demonstrate mastery of qualitative research, with experience conducting 1:1 interviews, running live prototype sessions, administering surveys, creating automated systems, developing sustaining processes, and engaging with users remotely.Captivating and influential storyteller, with experience using media to bring people and their problems to life, and quantifying patterns to show importance and magnitude.Self-starter, responsible, and ability to work independently with limited supervision.Curious and innovative thinker with an eye for cutting edge solutions and tools, especially in remote testing.Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Sociology, Psychology, Information Science, or equivalent experience.Start-up or entrepreneurial experience a plus.Why you want this job:The team we’re building - we have a phenomenal team from across the globe and will continue to hire exceptional people that believe in our vision and embody our values.Our progressive working model - the company uses innovative technology and workflow solutions to replace physical offices and face-to-face meetings.The broad exposure you’ll receive - you will own user research across multiple brands -,,,, impact you will have - this role is arguably the most important hire that we’ll make this year.About LoveToKnow:LoveToKnow Corporation’s websites comprise one of the largest digital media companies in the US.
