Quality Assurance Analyst

Position Overview: 


The Quality Assurance Analyst I focuses on high quality in regards to cPanel software. As a member of a scrum team, the QA Analyst I is responsible for working with the team throughout the development cycle, testing work done by the team, and sharing feedback about the feature. The QA Analyst I also participates in QA department goals and projects.


Essential Functions:         



  • Works closely with team and contributes to decisions regarding feature development

  • Applies testing strategies to new and existing features throughout the development process

  • Participates in opportunities to support department goals and projects

  • Contributes to department documentation

  • Demonstrates and acts in accordance with company values, policies, and procedures

  • Planning/Organizing skills - able to prioritize and plan work activities

  • Adaptability - able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.Ability to learn new software and processes as they become available

  • Problem Solving Skills - able to identify problems and subsequently gather and analyze information skillfully in order to make sound decisions

  • Interpersonal Skills - able to interact with co-workers in a professional and effective manner

  • Math Skills - able to perform basic Algebra and work with percentages


Education/Experience - High School diploma or equivalent



  • Some quality assurance experience

  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance concepts and methods

  • Familiarity with Perl, Git, bug tracking, troubleshooting, and Linux command line usage


Work Environment and Physical Demands


Ability to work in an office environment. Specific abilities required by this job include: Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds; Near vision; hearing; ability to transport oneself as needed throughout the day; ability to sit and use computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal, for extended periods of time; manual dexterity (eye/hand coordination); repetitive arm/hand movements


cPanel is a 24/7 operation and nontraditional or extended hours (including weekends) may be required occasionally.
